Honey Face Wash + Mask // Minimalist Skincare
Does Honey work for oily or dry skin?

Both! This is formulated to be skin-balancing. No matter your skin type the honey, oil, and lecithin will work together to bring balance to your skin's natural homeostasis and nourish your microbiome.

How do I use Honey as a face wash?

Honey is formulated for maximum effectiveness with minimal effort. By using less products, with more intention, your skin will have a chance to heal.

For oily skin, this all you need. Each evening, wet face, massage a dime-to-quarter-sized amount for a 1-2 minutes, rinse gently, pat dry. In the morning, a quick rinse with water or hydrosol. That's it!

Honey for dry skin, you may want more moisture. Each evening, wet face, massage a dime-to-quarter-sized amount for 1-2 minutes, rinse gently, pat dry, apply a skin-friendly oil if needed. In the morning, a quick rinse with water or hydrosol, apply a skin-friendly oil if needed.

My favorite skin-friendly oils right now are Shea Butter at night and Red Raspberry Seed in the morning.

How do I use Honey as a face mask?

Simply leave it on longer 🙂 Anywhere from 5-20 minutes is great!

Optional: Combine equal parts Honey with desired Mix-in for a more effective mask.

How do I use Honey as a spot treatment?

You don’t always need an intense full-face mask. Use Honey on a spot by applying a little dab and leave on for as long you want. Remove Honey gently before applying other products.

If the product has honey in it, is it sticky!?

Once you add a little water (from wet hands and a wet face) it smoothes into a creamy, non-foaming consistency. If you apply to dry skin, it does feel a little sticky, at first, but not nearly as much as "kitchen honey" because it is balanced with other ingredients.

Does Honey need to be refrigerated?

Nope! This formula is self-preserving at any temperature. Make sure you replace the cap after each use to keep water out.

What are the ingredients in Honey Face Wash + Mask?
Raw Honey

Honey is the oldest, most effective skincare ingredient. We source 100% raw honey -- the kind that hydrates and heals like it ain't no thing -- from farms that know how to treat their bees right. You’ll rinse your face and feel the difference with clean, purified skin that’s moist and plump. Honey's got it covered!

Sunflower Oil

Packed with Vitamin E, skin’s favorite antioxidant, sunflower oil is a proven champ at multitasking. Since this oil is a healing balm and protective shield, this gentle face wash proactively generates new and better skin cells while it goes to work repairing damaged ones.

Sunflower Lecithin

Sunflower lecithin is a rich, naturally-occurring fatty acid derived from sunflower seeds. When combined with the other superfoods in this formula, lecithin is a skin-softening, complexion-evening bodyguard that keeps moisture in its place for soft, supple, dewy skin.

Ceylon Cinnamon

Ceylon cinnamon goes deep into your pores to clear out sebum, the clogging oil your skin makes that bacteria loves to feed on. On the surface, ceylon cinnamon is effective against fine lines and wrinkles by stimulating blood flow and tightening skin.

How long will a Honey pouch last?

Each evening, use a quarter-sized amount, and the pouch will last for at least 30 days.

Can I fly with the Honey pouch?

Yes! A brand new pouch contains the max capacity (100ml) allowed by TSA in your carry-on. While we've never had a pouch leak in flight, it's recommended you pack it in a quart size bag with all your other liquids.

Why is the Honey in a plastic pouch?
  • Glass can break! When you're showering the last thing you should have to juggle is a jar.
  • It's the most adventure friendly option. It packs small and doesn't break.
  • Unlike the rigid plastic squeeze bottles, you get every last drop. No need to balance it upside down to use it up.
  • The majority of the plastics in the world are not being recycled right now. The pouch is a much smaller waste footprint than a cutely-shaped bottle. Therefore, this is the best option while packaging technology catches up with consumer demand.
  • Since the ingredients are self-preserving, we didn't have to, nor want to, add any skin-irritating preservatives. When you have an open jar, dirty or wet hands go into that jar and cause product contamination, which can cause your product to spoil and lead to infections. And that's gross!
